Tuta absoluta is a leaf-mining moth that comes from South America. It was first detected in Spain in 2007.

DAMAGES

This caterpillar creates tunnels in the leaves and produces malformations in plants. It can infect the fruit and rot it.

It attacks tomato and, to a lesser extent, eggplant and pepper.
