SIRFIcontrol-R: Sphaerophoria rueppellii species (Diptera: Syrphidae) is a predator of all aphid species, especially against Macrosiphum, native to the Mediterranean area.

SIRFIcontrol-B: Episyrphus balteatus (Diptera: Syrphidae) is a predator of all aphid species
SIRFIcontrol-MIX: mix of Episyrphus balteatus & Sphaerophoria rueppellii.
The female lays her eggs very close to the young aphid colonies, in order to facilitate the feeding of larvae upon their emergence. They are great predators of aphids and can also feed on whitefly, thrip and red spider mite. They are sensitive to low humidity and maintain a twilight-night activity, hiding during the day.

RECOMMENDED DOSE

Preventive dose: 100-400 pupae/ha weekly until population is successfully established.
Curative dose: release larvae weekly until population is successfully established.

Dosage can vary depending on the crop and the level of the pest. Consult the recommended dose with an Agrobío field advisor.

CROPS

Strawberry, sweet pepper, cucumber, and crops with aphids in general.

USE

Place the open bottle upright between the plants or near them. Place the bottle towards the center of the greenhouse, away from the bands in different release points than the previous introduction.

For preventive releases it is essential the presence of flowers prior to introducing them into the crop. If there is aphid already, place the bottle near the affected plants.

RECOMMENDATIONS

If the aphid focus is severe and there is already presence of molasses, it will be necessary to previously treat with compatible products and respect the indicated safety term. Contact your technician.

Ants can affect the effectiveness of the product, it is recommended to control them.

CONSERVATION

Do not break the cold chain throughout the transport and storage process. Do not store more than 24 hours after receipt. Keep at a temperature between entre 15-18ºC, in a ventilated place and without direct exposure to sunlight and water and keep away from pesticide residues.
