Aphelinus abdominalis is a parasitic wasp from family Aphelinidae. It is especially recommended to control Macrosiphum euphorbiae and Aulacorthum solani. A. abdominalis is also capable of parasitizing other aphids like Aphys gossypii and Myzus persicae. It can parasitize 5-10 aphids/day throughout 8 weeks. Adults of A. abdominalis feed on aphids, even on non-parasitized species.
Consult an Agrobío field advisor for the recommended dose.
Dosage can vary according to preventive dose, medium curative or high curative, depending on the crop and the level of infestation of the pest.
Although A. abdominalis parasitizes different aphid species, it is commonly used to control green aphids on tomato plants (Macrosiphum euphorbiae) and foxglove aphid (Aulacorthum solani). It is used mainly in greenhouse crops like pepper, tomato, eggplant, bean, gerbera, rose, chrysanthemum, etc
