CHRYSOcontrol

DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT
- Box with 100 pupae
- Bottle with 1,000 larvae
- Bottle with 10,000 larvae
Chrysoperla carnea is an aphid predator, and can help to control other pests like white fly or thrips. Only the larvae of the Chrysoperla carnea are active predators. In case of lack of aphids, C. carnea can survive eating mites, thrips and small lepidoptera.
RECOMMENDED DOSE
- Larval: 10 – 20 ind/m2 in curative applications, for several weeks until the aphid hotspot is controlled
- Pupae: 2 to 3 boxes per hectare in preventive applications. Combined with other biological control agents.
Dosage can vary depending on the crop and the level of the pest. Consult the recommended dose with an Agrobío field advisor.
RECOMMENDED CROPS
Chrysoperla carnea is used in several horticultural, ornamental and fruit crops.
USE
Open the bottle of larvae and shake it carefully so that the larvae fall onto the plants that need to be treated. Distribute them evenly throughout the crop or concentrate them in the areas with the highest pest incidence.
The adult format requires the presence of flowers on the farm, either from the crop itself or from reservoir plants such as Lobularia maritima (PLANTA Lobularia). Hang the boxes directly on the plants using the integrated hook, in areas without ants. Once placed, remove the side tab.
Apply early in the morning or at sunset.
PRESERVATION
Keep the bottle horizontally and at a temperature of 8-10ºC. Do not break the cold chain in all the transport and storage process. Do not store the product after 48 hours of receipt, and never expose it to sunlight or pesticides.
