Agrobío avanza 2026

Agrobio Advances 2026 welcomed more than 200 agricultural professionals to discover the latest innovations in biological control. During the event, Agrobío introduced ORIcontrol Cold-R, MEGAcontrol and COROLAcontrol, three new solutions designed to help growers manage emerging pests more effectively.

The programme featured leading researchers, R&D experts, and technical specialists, reinforcing Agrobío’s position as a leader in innovation for modern agriculture.

The latest innovations in biological control for early pepper crops

There are always a few topics that dominate conversations whenever growers get together. This year, two stand out above the rest: Thrips parvispinus and Scirtothrips. These emerging pests are creating new challenges and forcing growers to rethink how they protect their crops from the very beginning.

To address these concerns, Agrobío brought together more than 500 agricultural professionals this spring in Berja and Adra for its technical events, “The most innovative biological control for early pepper crops.” Once again, the strong turnout highlighted the sector’s interest in effective tools and field-proven solutions.

On March 11 and 12, Agrobío took part in the II EXPO CHERRY 2026 in Albuñol (Granada), held at the La Rábita Municipal Pavilion. Over two full days, the local technical and commercial team welcomed growers, technicians and companies interested in the latest solutions in biological control and natural pollination.

At this year’s event, Agrobío focused on tomato crops, one of the most important productions along the Granada coast and in south-eastern Spain. Among the solutions presented, TRICHOcontrol Dispensing Balls stood out. This system facilitates the emergence and efficient release of Trichogramma achaeae for the biological control of Tuta absoluta eggs.

Queen Letizia discovers the power of biological control

Sustainable agriculture is also something you experience firsthand. And that’s exactly what happened during Spanish Queen Letizia’s visit to the Cajamar Las Palmerillas Experimental Station in El Ejido (Almería).

Inside the experimental greenhouses, the Queen had the chance to discover one of the cornerstones of Almería’s agricultural model: biological pest control. A system rooted in natural balance and the use of beneficial insects to protect crops from harmful pests.

AgrobíoDOUBLE: double size, double pollination power

AgrobíoDOUBLE para almendro y frutales

As the earliest almond varieties begin to bloom, pollination once again becomes a key moment in this Mediterranean crop. Every year, thousands of hectares rely on the work of pollinating insects to achieve good fruit set and ensure profitable harvests.

To support growers during these short but intense flowering periods, often made even more unpredictable by changing weather, Agrobío is introducing AgrobíoDOUBLE, a stronger, more efficient hive designed especially for almond and fruit orchards.
